This time with Katharina Klüber, Relocation & Immigration Manager at ICUnet Group in Vienna since 2021.
ICUnet: Please describe in a few sentences what the core task of your job is?
KK: I support employees who are sent abroad or recruited internationally (foreign local hires) in their immigration to Austria. I am in daily contact with people of various nationalities – from Australia to China and Denmark to Hungary. In addition, I provide support beyond the immigration process in finding accommodation, school/kindergarten and a smooth move to (in my case) Austria. I advise each person individually throughout the entire process until they finally find themselves in the destination country with their residence and employment permit and start working. In doing so, I am in close contact with the respective company, the residence authorities and/or our consultants, who are represented in every province of the destination country.
